Late May - Early June 2010 Get the Lead Out! Logo 6th Annual Get the Lead Out!

Have you ever wondered what happens to those snags and broken lines from fishing? Join PCS for Get the Lead Out and you'll find out! Get the Lead Out is an in-stream and streambank cleanup to collect fishing line and lead from in the Maumee River as well as garbage from its shoreline.

You can pickup lead and garbage with your own group, join on one of our sponsored days, or perhaps sponsor a cleanup day so others can join you! These options allow everyone to work around the weather and water-levels. GLO is flexible, so it can fit easily into everyone's busy schedule! Go collect lead sinkers, fishing line and cleanup our river! We'll provide the supplies, the maps, the tools and a special to thank you after the event! So gather your fishing buddies, church group, family and friends and call to register.

Oct. & Nov. 2010 SWW Logo 21th Annual Student Watershed Watch

The Student Watershed Watch (SWW) helps our region’s young people to appreciate our streams, so they may grow to be wise stewards. Each year the SWW brings hundreds of students together from urban and rural school districts in the Maumee Area of Concern to learn about our local environment. This two-part program includes water quality testing performed by Junior and Senior High School classes at local stream sites and culminates at a Student Summit where student representatives from participating schools release and compare their results.

    • Contact: Matt Horvat (419)241-9115 ext. 123
