Currents April 2019

Did you know that the Great Lakes are the biggest freshwater source in the world? Lake Erie is the most productive for fishing of all the Great Lakes. Your support helps make our streams clean, clear and healthy so they can support this complex ecosystem. By donating to PCS, you help us reach our goals of restoring rivers that lead to Lake Erie beaches that promote fishable and swimmable conditions for generations.

volunteerweekOur water quality programs would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers.  April 7th-13th is National Volunteer Week, when we celebrate all the volunteers who helped us improve our local environment throughout the year.  Our Storm Drain Marking, CYS 365, Get the Lead Outs, Glass City Marathon Green Team, Fishing Line Recycling Bins, and of course, Clean Your Streams Day programs are only successful because of volunteers like you!  In 2018, we had 1,584 individuals who came out to take care of our streams.  We are inspired by how many people care about the health of our waterways.  If you want to support our streams, there are several upcoming opportunities for you to volunteer.
