Did you know that the Great Lakes are the biggest freshwater source in the world? Lake Erie is the most productive for fishing of all the Great Lakes. Your support helps make our streams clean, clear and healthy so they can support this complex ecosystem. By donating to PCS, you help us reach our goals of restoring rivers that lead to Lake Erie beaches that promote fishable and swimmable conditions for generations.

Schedule a clean-on-your-own using our CYS 365 interest form. Between April and September, you can visit bit.ly/PCSCleanupSignup to view and register for our public, staff-led CYS 365 programs.

Clean Your Streams 365 is a year-round effort for clearer, cleaner waterways inspired by our annual program Clean Your Streams Day. Volunteers choose a time and location to remove marine debris. These clean-ups can be PCS staff-led, or go-on-your-own. In either case, PCS will provide all clean-up supplies, including gloves, trash bags, data cards, and grabbers.

Once you complete the online interest form, we will make all necessary arrangements. If you're looking for a recommended location to clean, just ask! PCS maintains an extensive list of sites along Swan Creek, Ottawa River, Maumee River, Maumee Bay tributaries and more in need of volunteers.

We are proud to partner with the Ocean Conservancy to bring you the Clean Swell App. The Clean Swell is an app version of the data card. It lets you track the marine debris on your smartphone with a simple tap of a tile. It records the amount of trash you have removed, estimates the pounds of trash, tracks your total distanced cleaned and you can earn badges as you collect. It is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The data cards that are distributed during our Clean Your Streams 365 programs are used to collect data about what items are being found in our rivers and streams. Partners for Clean Streams compiles the total weights of the debris found, as well as each individual item marked on the forms. This information is reported to the Ocean Conservancy's TIDES program. The Ocean Conservancy then uses this data to help change policies around the world in regards to marine debris. They also work with companies to reduce waste in manufacturing to help make the world a cleaner place!

A little data goes a long way in making an impact on a GLOBAL scale. If you would like to see the data that Partners for Clean Stream's volunteers have collected during our Clean Your Streams 365 program, visit TIDES and click on "View Reports." In the "Group Name" box type "Clean Your Streams 365," select the "Clean Your Streams 365" text, and hit the "Filter" button. Now you can either zoom in to a specific site and see the data or in the right-hand column, you can view the reports by county, state, and country. Check it out and see the impact that we are having right here in Ohio!

Please use the group name of "CYS365- YourGroupName" if you are using the Clean Swell App.
